These systems are generally quieter & more efficient as the fan is remotely mounted in the ceiling space and steam is drawn directly from source as the grille can be mounted over the shower.

Other popular systems are Heat/Fan/Light Units and Extract-a-Lite Kits to provide not only ventilation but heating (infrared) and lighting as well.
